SEMI-PRIVATE AND PRIVATE

SWIMMING LESSONS

While our core group swim classes are small, our private and semi-private swimming classes at AquaKids provide a more personalized experience. Private lessons are 30 minutes long and pair one swimmer with one instructor. Semi-private lessons also last 30 minutes, but two swimmers can join the same lesson, which makes these lessons a wonderful fit for siblings or friends who want to swim together.

Private swim lessons help adults and kids alike increase their skills and comfort in the water. They’re ideal for students who learn better with individual attention, including anxious first-time swimmers, kids with special needs, adults who have put off learning to swim, and competitive swimmers who would benefit from targeted training on specific skill sets. Private lessons are also a great fit for former runners and other athletes who want to learn about lower-impact exercise options.

When you or your child learn how to swim with AquaKids, you receive all the benefits of swimming in a safe, supportive and warm environment. And we mean warm both literally and figuratively — our pools are heated to a comfortable temperature and our instructors have a passion for helping swimmers excel. Our experienced teaching team includes competitive swimmers and people who have spent most of their lives in and around the water.

Are private swim classes the best fit for my child?

Many parents wonder whether private swim lessons or group swim classes will be best for their child. While every young swimmer is different, certain kids do tend to benefit from one-one-on instruction. If you’re wondering which type of class would be the best fit for your kiddos needs and goals, we encourage you to contact our team via phone or email.

Infant & Toddler Swim Lessons

We offer infant and toddler swim lessons as early as 4 months of age to help build confidence and get your infant comfortable in the water. Our small ParentTot classes are a great way for parents to bond and socialize with their kiddos while teaching vital water safety skills like breath control, floating and kicking. We also offer Toddler Transition classes for kiddos ages 24-36 months. Parents join their swimmers poolside until they are ready to transition to a small group class without a parent nearby. Both classes focus on foundational water safety skills as well as developing a comfort in the water, which are crucial in developing swimming skills.
